Princess Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise, born on August 15, 1950, is the second child and only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. She is known by the title of Princess Royal.

Marriage to Captain Mark Phillips

In 1973, Princess Anne married Captain Mark Phillips, a British Army officer and Olympic equestrian. Their marriage lasted for 19 years and produced two children.

Children

Princess Anne and Captain Phillips welcomed their first child, Peter Phillips, in November 1977 at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London. Their second child, Zara Phillips, was born on May 15, 1981.
